A bright blue dye primarily used in dyeing of cotton handloom yarns for towels, shirting fabric and leisure wear. The product is sensitive to Calcium and high temperature. Sodium nitrite or glucose must be added to the dye bath for dyeing above 60°C to avoid over- reduction The product has inferior Hypochlorite fastness compared to other Vat dyes. Rinsing immediatelty after dyeing is advisable to avoid greener | duller shades. Addition of soda ash (2 g|l) to the soaping bath is recommended. It is available in Microperle and Micro disperse varieties.
