Secondary hardened tissue culture raised date palm plants with a height of 2 to 2.5 ft when planted, with at least one pinnate leaf, a well-developed collar girth and root system. The trees can withstand high humidity and they yield Khunezi date fruits that are ovoid and elongated in shape and medium in size. The fruit changes in colour from red in Khalal (fresh) stage to dark red in Rutab (semi-dried) stage and brown in Tamar (dried) stage. It is often consumed in its fresh form and has a sugary taste.
