Secondary hardened tissue culture raised date palm plants with a height of 2 to 2.5 ft when planted, at least one pinnate leaf, a well-developed collar girth and root system. The trees yield Medjool date fruits that are ovoid and elongated in shape and medium to large in size. The fruit changes in colour from orange yellow in Khalal (fresh) stage to yellowish brown in Rutab (semi-dried) stage and reddish brown in Tamar (dried) stage. It is often consumed in its dry form, is juicy and sweet in taste. It is also the most preferred variety with regard to fruit quality and size.
