2017年4月：阿图宣布成为“无现金城镇”
在Ambedkar Jayanti节日之际，Niti Aayog的Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana下的莫蒂总理宣布瓦尔萨德的Atul Ltd镇为印度七十五个“无现金城镇”之一，超过75%的交易通过数字模式支付而非现金。选定启动的城镇已接受独立第三方Price Waterhouse Coopers（PWC）的评估，只有审查期间超过80%的城镇交易总额通过数字模式支付的城镇才纳入该列表。
