Lapox Tightseal is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film tape commonly used in plumbing for sealing pipe threads. It also works as a deformable filler and thread lubricant to seal the joints and is easier to tighten. It protects the threads of both parts from coming into direct contact with each other and thus avoids physical wear.
